BIRTH WITH EM

Through my experience working with women over the past few years and throughout my own motherhood journey (living far away from family), I’ve come to realise how essential support and continuity of care are in pregnancy, birth and postpartum. As a Doula I want to bring the focus back to you, the birthing mother, to remind you of the incredible tools you already possess. We are rarely surrounded by our village these days so by building a team of support around you, my hope is that you’ll start to really trust yourself and your baby through this time.

I’m here to walk alongside you, Mumma, whether this is your first or fifth baby. This is the most transformative journey of your life, and each time you birth your baby, you also birth yourself—again and again.

You will only birth this baby once and how your experience unfolds will stay with you forever. I want you to move, breathe, dance and roar your way through this with confidence so that you are able to enter motherhood with that inner knowing and a steadiness that you can carry through into your new motherhood journey.

When we work together I will always weave in my movement knowledge and support you from a physical perspective as well as the emotional and spiritual guidance. However if you would like to add on specific pre or post natal exercise sessions that can be done separate to our birth prep sessions this is available in 3/5/10 session packs at a discounted rate when engaging in my Doula services. I’ve added this so you can specifically carve out some time for yourself and your movement practice - not always easy whilst caring for a bub or with full time work commitments AND growing a baby :) I know it can feel like an effort but believe me your body and mind will thank you!

Continuity of care

Continuity of care isn’t always as accessible to women as it should be. Having a doula by your side throughout pregnancy, birth, and even postpartum can bridge that gap. A doula will offer a safe space, emotional support, and a reliable point of contact when questions or concerns arise. It's about preparation, knowing your options and working with someone skilled and experienced who has your back no matter what.

  • Women who receive continuity of care are 24% less likely to experience preterm birth and 19% less likely to lose their baby before 24 weeks of pregnancy.

  • Women who receive continuous care from a known provider during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum report higher satisfaction with their birth experience.

  • Continuity of care models, such as midwifery care or continuous support from doulas, are associated with a 16% reduction in cesarean section rates.

“Love yourself enough to get the care you deserve. As much as you would for someone else you love. Yes, love yourself that much, darling, because you’re worth it.”
